"Hooper's" Garage Talk

Welcome to Hooper's Garage Talk

Welcome to my section. My name is Kevin Guillotte a.k.a. "Hooper" in the Firebird community. This is an area where I get to talk shop, discuss what is going on in our garage, as well as share some special moments with you.

2011 was an incredible year for the Chasers Team!

Email me at hooper@screaminchickenchasers.com with what is going on in your garage!

  • One Crazy 3000 Mile Trip
    place holder

In 2010 I got to make another trip to the Trans-Am Nationals in Dayton, Ohio with my good friend Jim McDougal.

Me and Jim cutting up on the 16 hour drive.

We had a blast! Next year we are planning on unveiling the Chasers racecar.

At the Nationals I got to talk again with John Schinella, the driving force behind the Trans-Am of the 70's. I also got to meet the other key individuals of Trans-Am’s history, Herb Adams, the engineer behind the Super Duty and WS6 suspension and Bill Davis, the artist who brought the vision of the Phoenix to life. One of the souvenirs I have to remember the event is a 1973 SD Die cast with all three of their signatures on it. What a pleasure it was to talk with all of them!

We got to meet up with friends from all over the nation.

It was nice to be able to catch up with my good friend, Kevin Morgan and see his Firehawk tribute car.

We loaded down Jim’s Firehawk with all of our goodies.

My "Handle"

Hooper was as big an inspiration to me as Smokey and the Bandit and with the addition of surviving a wreck that broke my neck, well the nickname "Hooper" just kinda stuck.

Not to mention my passion for red Trans-Ams.

Legends at Nationals

It was an honor to meet the legends of Pontiac at the Trans-Am Nationals.
